Get on with Life

Life with NDIS and Braille House

Your NDIS - get on with life - white braille dots with green hand above on purple circle

By this stage you will have spent significant time working through your future needs with Braille House and the NDIA planner or local area co-ordinator and the people who support you.

With your plan in place, including the individualised funding support and support service providers that is part of the plan, you can begin to use your plan to meet your needs.

But remember, your plan is not a one-off. If or when your needs change so can your plan change.

You can access your plan on the Participant Portal, an online tool available through the myGov website that keeps all of your documents together. You’ll receive portal access instructions once your plan is ready. If you choose to self-manage your funding, you can also process payments through the portal.

While you are starting your plan, you might like to keep:

  • thinking about your future goals.
  • considering activities and ways of achieving your goals.

It is important to think about how your first plan is working for you – what is good and what is not. This will help you prepare for your next plan at your plan review.

You can choose your own support providers and how this support is delivered.

Keep in mind, you can nominate Braille House as your service provider for all your Braille needs.

Contact Braille House on (07) 3848 5257 or fill in the form below and one of our team will contact you as soon as they can.
